Who processes your data

The data controller is Matteo Ledri, Verona (Italy), who runs HelloSite, the English-language version of CiaoSito, currently in its launch phase. Company details will be added here once the company is registered. Contact: info@ciaosito.it. The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (vercel.com).

What data we collect

• The details of your business that you enter in the form: name, address, phone, email, opening hours, services, text.
• Your name and the WhatsApp number we send the preview to.
• If you use ‘Find your business on Google’, the name and town you type are sent to Google (Places API) to look up your business profile; from that profile we only take the name, address, phone number and opening hours, which you check before sending them. We keep nothing else from Google.
• Our staff can also fill in the form for you over the phone: in that case we ask you on WhatsApp to confirm this policy and your rights to the photos before the site goes live.
• Photos, logos, menus, documents and voice messages you upload.
• The change requests you send us for your site (text, photos and the number you write from), with the status of each request.
• The optional feedback on the form and some technical data (date and time, type of device and browser).

Why we use it

• To prepare and publish your business website and to contact you about the preview and changes. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To improve the form and the service using the feedback you leave. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The business details you choose to display (name, address, phone, opening hours, photos) will be publicly visible on the site, as that is the purpose of the service. If you upload photos in which other people can be recognised, you must have their consent.

Where it is stored

Data is stored with Vercel Inc., our hosting and storage provider, on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt). Vercel acts as a processor; any transfers to the United States are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by standard contractual clauses. WhatsApp conversations go through WhatsApp (Meta). To prepare the changes you ask for, we use Anthropic’s artificial intelligence (Claude), which only receives the text of the request and the site content to be changed; a member of our team checks every change before publishing it. We do not sell or pass on your data to third parties for advertising.

How long we keep it

If you activate the site, for as long as the service lasts and then for the period required by law (10 years for tax records). If you don’t activate the site, we delete your material within 12 months of sending, or sooner if you ask.

Your rights

At any time you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, restrict its use or object to it, by writing to info@ciaosito.it. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority in the country where you live.

Cookies

This site uses no profiling cookies or advertising tools. The form saves your answers only on your device (your browser’s local storage), so you can pick up where you left off.
